The Sacred Heart Mission Expansion is officially open to all! The Mission Resource Connection Center is open to connect residents with other agency and organizations assistance opportunities. It also features MiWorks! Employment connection and continuting your education with earning your GED or diploma, job skill training, and trainings with Mid Michigan College. This project was possible through the generosity of the DeShano Community Foundation in memory and honor of their family Patriarch Gary L. DeShano. The food pantry refrigeration and shelving was possible with a $25,000 grant from Consumers Energy Foundation and the technical portion of the Resource Center was made possible with a $10,000 grant from the Gladwin County Community Foundation. The community members who donate and shop the mission support all of our efforts to help those in need in Gladwin County. The Blessing & Ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 2nd and the Grand Opening was on April 7th. Over 100 business and organization leaders attended the Blessing/Ribbon Cutting and over 250 shoppers celebrated on our opening day. The Sacred Heart Mission is blessed beyond measure with this opportunity to extend a hand up with kindness and Christ for peopl in need. IT was all possible with the aforemention generous donors and businesses who donated in kind with their services. Thank you all for your continued patronage, donations and support for the Mission of the Sacred Heart Mission. In Christ, Yvette Keast Director
